Yes , do move from present,past and future tense in your questions. Such as "What are you doing now?", "What did you do last weekend?", "What would you do if you won the lottery?". Remember, you  are trying to guage their level of English so tenses and their ability to recognize and  speak in the correct tense is important. You are welcome to use my examples in your assisgnment if you wish ! Your tutor will be assigned after this unit. That was my experiance. Good Luck Cynara
