CRB Checks

Hi I need some advice if anyone can give any!

I have just completed my 140 hr course and am now looking for work in South Korea. I understand that for any teaching job you need a CRB check. However I did not think in the UK you are allowed to do your own, I thought the employer had to do it for you! And recently jobs I am wishing to apply for want the CRB Check done already.

If anyone can clear anything up for me I would be really grateful - I have never done anything like this before so apologies if it sounds like a dumb question

Thanks :-)

Hi Amber, unless things have changed since I retired from the Police, if you go to a 'Main' Police Station, and ask for the application form, complete it and submit it with your payment, yo will receive the CRB Report, just make sure you have photo ID with you, either a Passport or Driving Licence, anyone can apply for their own record, unfortunately it does not come free.
