Grammar and Awareness- Help!
by billie hoar - Monday, 4 April 2011, 03:29 PM

I can't seem to get past this question, on the gap fill exercise

“No,” Michael laughed. “She seems all right. I contacted her through an excellent teaching website called Teaching TEFL and we’ve been chatting with each other on MSN messenger since May.”

Find the first 3 proper nouns??

It just will not let me pass with my answers!

Any help much appreciated!

hi Billie

You always write a proper noun with a capital letter, since the noun represents the name of a specific person, place, or thing. The names of days of the week, months, historical documents, institutions, organisations, religions, their holy texts and their adherents are proper nouns.

so that would be Michael (persons name), Teaching TEFL (institution/organisation),and May (month of the year).

If I mind rightly MSN is also considered a proper noun.

Hope this is a help
