Hi

Just wondered if anyone has been to Hong Kong, I'd really like to head over for September but I'm not sure how easy it is to secure a job and work visa. Does anyone have any advice?

Hey,

I've been to Hong Kong its a really nice place, really hot.

Jobs there is long hours from around 8 - 5 but not sure about work visa. Hopes it helps, if you want to know more about the place, you can ask.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. Ideally I'd need to be sponsored by my work who would organise the work visa, failing that I can go to Hong Kong with a tourist visa (for 180 days max) but once I get a job I'd need to leave the country and re enter with the work visa. I'm really just looking for advice on getting a teaching job in Hong Kong, do people normally secure a job and then go over or look for one once you're there? I'm on a tight budget so naturally I'm just concerned about finances etc. Any help much appreciated!

I would suggest that you apply first before going as it can be a long wait, if they urgent need someone then they might pay for your flights. This depends on the school that you apply to thou.
